-We sponsor snowmobile related events that bring our sport together-
The Ski-Benders sponsor annual snowmobile related events such as the Crab feed, the family oriented January Bucket Run, and our March brunch in the Ahtanum. All of these events benefit our snowmobiling friends and families. The Ski-Benders provide numerous group rides that cater to many different levels of ability. We also provide a venue for new comers or people joining our sport to get out into the great outdoors. Most of our events are fund raisers; everything worth doing involves some level of participation! We are also a family friendly group!
-We are legislatively involved-
The Ski-Bender membership is active on both the local and state level in keeping our lands open! Our members played a key role for the 2009-2011 seasons in keeping the Ahtanum State Forest open for our winter recreational use. Members actively participate in WSSA leadership, Yakima County Grooming Council positions, the Washington Dept. of State Parks winter recreation council and Yakima County Search and Rescue. We usually have the largest club turnout for WSSA’s “All Trails to Olympia” legislative day.
-We are a local pro-active organization-
Your membership and support give us the numbers that make a difference when we write letters, elicit sponsors, meet with local media and pursue actions and projects that enhance our sport. We must be visible to ensure the survival of snowmobiling in Washington State.
-We financially support snowmobile related organizations and charities-
We give annually to the Yakima County Search and Rescue (another great and vital volunteer organization), the March of Dimes, and other local causes. Being involved has a positive effect on our members and community.
-We are visible in our community-
Our activities are a well known, positive thing in our area. We are seen or heard via radio, internet snowmobile and recreational sites, TV and our local papers. We have hats, tee shirts and sweaters available with our logo that we wear with pride!
-Our fees are reasonable-
We realize that cost is an important consideration with everything these days. That is why our dues are only $5 per single or $10 for families (plus WSSA membership). Our fees basically only cover our cost of the newsletters on an annual basis.

The Yakima Ski-Benders are a community based recreational support group. Your membership increases that support for the retention of recreational opportunities throughout our recreational lands. Our sport will suffer without your participation!
